Countless cities and towns across America host unique “droppings” to ring in the New Year.
Of course, New York City has the famous Times Square Ball. Atlanta is home to the Peach Drop. And Flagstaff even drops a pine cone.
But Bethlehem, Pennsylvania — the self proclaimed Christmas City USA — has it’s own take on the New Year’s Eve tradition. Just Born, the company behind the delicious, sugary, marshmallow chicks that we all enjoy at Easter, hosts a two day event called PEEPSFEST. The family-friendly event culminates at the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks with the dropping of a 4.5-foot tall, 85 lb. lighted PEEPS Chick and fireworks to ring in the New Year!
What’s the most unique New Year’s Drop you’ve ever experienced?
